Young Performers

The Minor Quays

The Minor Quays

The Minor Quays are an important part of the Quay Players’ family and are always a welcome addition to our Winter pantomime. Last year, a group of young performers acted as the Lost Boys in ‘Hook’.

Generally, the Minor Quays rehearse once a week at most and start their rehearsals once the adult cast is already in place. Minor Quays’ subs are set at a reduced fee and are used to pay for the rehearsal space and for the services of the Musical Director.

We are keen to work with more young performers and encourage anyone interested in performing in our next show, ‘Alice in Wonderland’, to get in touch. Please email: info@quayplayers.org.uk

Child Protection

Child Protection

Many of our company members work in fields where DBS checks are necessary. As a company, we take safeguarding very seriously and ensure that young performers’ safety is understood by everyone. During rehearsals, children are always accompanied by a member of the company who is DBS checked. During performances, local authority and national guidance for young performers is followed to ensure that the Minor Quays’ safety is ensured.
