Who are we? What we do

About us

Quay Players Hook
From small hall to thriving theatre

How it all started

The Quay Players was established as an amateur musical theatre group in 1997. We are affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA). We rehearse at St. Anne’s church hall, Thorburn Square, London SE1 every Tuesday, 7.30pm-9.30pm, and generally perform two shows a year: a pantomime at Christmas and a musical in the summer, plus regular cabarets and open music nights.

We’re proud to be close to central London with our nearest stations to the rehearsal venue and theatre at London Bridge and Bermondsey. We welcome anyone and pride ourselves in being a community-based group.

The Quay Players Society is completely run by voluntary group members and this is your chance to elect the committee, independent financial examiner and to review the annual accounts and events of the previous year. If you are interested in putting yourself forward, please speak to a member of the current committee about what is involved. Nominations closed on 11th August for the committee.
