We are pleased to announce that our next pantomime will be Snow White, written and directed by Shamini Bundell. The show will be performed at the Greenwood Theatre, from 15th-17th December 2016.
Shamini joined the Quay Players in 2014 and starred as spaced-out Gladys in the spoof show Die School Musical. She has also performed at the ADC Theatre, Cambridge, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Imperial College, and the Network Theatre at Waterloo.
Shamini is an experienced director, and has written and directed her own work for Downing College Cambridge, Imperial College Dramatic Society, Imperial Musical Theatre Society, and the Network Theatre in Waterloo. By day, she works in science media production and is currently busy making short documentary films for Nature magazine.
Congratulations to everyone who auditioned and well done to the creative team who have put together a fantastic cast for this year’s panto. Please see below!

Information for the Minor Quays
Snow White will be performed at the Greenwood Theatre between Thursday 15th and Saturday 17th December – three evening performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and a matinee on Saturday. In order to be part of the show, the children need to be available from the Tuesday of that week (13th December) so that they can take part in the dress rehearsals and preparations in the theatre.
The annual pantomime is always one of the most fun shows you can be involved with – lots of dancing, lots of singing and lots and lots of terrible jokes! This year, our pantomime has been written and will be directed by one of our own company, Shamini Bundell, and it is a modern take on a classic fairy tale. It will be musically directed again by our fantastic MD, Mark Smith, and a lot of the choreography will be done by our twinkle-toed Eleanor Strutt.
All children’s rehearsals are at St Anne’s Hall in Thorburn Square, Bermondsey, SE1 5QH (expect during show week, rehearsals will take place at the Greenwood Theatre, 55 Weston Street, SE1 3RA). We usually rehearse once a week, usually 6-8pm on a Tuesday – the rehearsal schedule will be confirmed and given out as soon as possible (we understand that some rehearsals may be missed due to to previous commitments, we just ask for people to attend as many as they are able). We welcome everyone, whatever your ability – the priority is having fun (oh yes it is!).
